Irkutsk region has offered Gazprom 2 gas pipeline routes from Kovykta to south of the region

The Irkutsk region has offered Gazprom 2 variants of the gas pipeline from Kovykta to the south of the region, either via Sayansk or avoiding it. According to the first variants, gas will be supplied from Kovykta to the southern Irkutsk region to one of future gas chemical centers in Eastern Russia via the route Zhigalovo – Sayansk – Angarsk – Irkutsk. In the last case, Sayansk loses some chances, as it competed as well for the role of a gas chemical center at the base of Sayanskchemplast.
