Turkish Stream to compete with TANAP

After the determination of the route of Turkish Stream, a serious competition started between it and TANAP, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey, T. Yildyz said.

According to him, the first branch of Turkish Stream with pumping capacity of 15.75 bln cubic m of gas a year is planned to be constructed to Turkey in December 2016. Previously Mr. Yildyz said that Turkish Stream would not be a competitor to TANAP.

Gazprom OJSC determined that the route of Turkish Stream would go via the bottom of the Black Sea. Gazprom will realize the offshore part of the project by itself.
