Gaysky GOK to increase underground production by 7% in 2015

Gaysky GOK OJSC (in the structure of UGMK) in 2015 plans to increase ore production by the underground method by 6.9% against 2014 – to 6.2 mln tons, the company reports.

The investment of UGMK in 2015 into the plant’s development will make up about 2.9 bln roubles. The main volume of financing will be spend for the expansion of the underground mine, technical retooling and expansion of the processing plant, development of the open-pit mine. By 2017 Gaysky GOK OJSC plans to increase the productivity of the underground mine to 7.5 mln tons of ore a year.

Gaysky GOK holds the licenses for the development of 6 copper-sulphide and 5 gold deposits. The main extraction is held by the underground method.
