Gas transit through the Ukraine to be stopped in 2019

Solution to redirect gas supplies to Europe, bypassing the Ukraine since 2019 has been accepted, and the EU has little time to prepare infrastructure. This was stated by chairman of the Gazprom’s Board of directors Viktor Zubkov during the European gas conference.

Zubkov also commented on the situation with the OPAL pipeline (overland continuation of the Nord Stream; Gazprom wants 100% access to its capacity, the European Commission postpones the decision on this issue) “This can’t be explained within the framework of the partnership logic and looks like a discrimination of the investor on political grounds," - he said.
