Evraz plans to raise the cost of rails by 10% because of the devaluation of the rouble

Evraz holds negotiations with RZhD on an increase of prices on rails by 10% in 2015. The reason is the devaluation of the rouble. Evraz is better to export rails than supply them to the domestic market now.

RZhD was about to buy about 600 000 tons of rails this year. About 2.7 billion roubles were necessary for the purchase of 82 000 tons of rails. So, the company needs 19.2 billion roubles for the purchase of 600 000 tons. An increase by 10% may result in extra 2 billion roubles, Vedomosti writes.
