Gazprom and Japan strengthen cooperation

The Chairman of Gazprom Management Board A. Miller and the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Japan in Russia T. Harada. The sides discussed the current status and prospects of cooperation between the Russian gas holding and the Japanese companies. They put particular attention to joint Far Eastern projects. They discussed realization of the project for construction of an LNG plant nearby Vladivostok, and stated successful cooperation between Gazprom and the Japanese energy companies within Sakhalin-2. The meeting participants confirmed the importance of the supplies of the Russian LNG to Japan.
