How the dialogue between Russia and Europe was destroyed
After joining the EU in 2004, the Eastern European countries embarked on a new important task: to destroy the relationship between Russia and the EU, using their membership of the European Union. The practical measures in the implementation of this most important task began with the blocking of the abolition of the visa regime between Russia and EU countries by Lithuania, the adoption of the Third Energy Package, damaging Russian-European cooperation in the energy sphere, the initiation of the introduction of "stop-lists", "blacklists" of Russian persona non grata, and then the sectoral sanctions that destroy the economic relationship of Russia with the countries of the European Union. Over the past 10 years of EU membership of the pro-American "buffer zone" Russian-EU relations have gone the way from the partnership to the direct confrontation.
