The Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology awaits the discovery of new large hydrocarbon deposits on Russian shelf

The new large hydrocarbon deposits with reserves of over 80 billion tons in oil equivalent can be discovered on the Russian Arctic shelf within the coming dozens of years, the Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology S. Donskoy says. In near future, they’ll have to revalue the prospects concerning enlargement in the volumes and the sizes of the objects that they’ll discover. Income to the budget from the shelf deposits development built to the program for shelf development until 2020 is 80.5 trillion rubles.
