Security of gas transit from Russia to Europe depends on Gazprom

The regularity of gas transit from Russia to Europe via the Ukraine depends on Gazprom, but not on the Ukraine, Minister of Energy, Y.Prodan said during the meeting in Minsk, RIA Novosti reports.
The Parliament of the Ukraine has adopted a law, which considers the possibility of imposing about 20 sanctions against Russia by the Ukraine, including energy products transit suspension.
“Gas transit only depends on Gazprom. European companies have agreements with Gazprom and not with the Ukrainian operators,” Prodan said.
