Total volume of accumulated oil extraction at Novy Port deposit reached 1 mln tons

Gazprom Neft has extracted 1 mln tons of oil at the Novy Port deposit.

Gazprom Neft’s affiliate - Gazprom Neft Yamal – develops the deposit.

The Novy Port deposit was discovered in 1964 by the exploratory well P-50.

Its development started in 2012 because of its far location from transport infrastructure -Gazprom Neft started shipment by road transport.

The C1 and C2 recoverable reserves of the Novy Port deposit make up over 250 mln tons of oil and condensate, and over 320 bln cubic m of gas.

In 2013 “Gazprom Neft Novy Port” completed the drilling program of the deposit.

The oil shipped from the deposit has a new brand – Novy Port.

In October 2014 Gazprom Neft completed the 1st season of oil shipment from the Novy Port by sea.

In 2016 Gazprom Neft completed the construction of the oil terminal “Vorota Arctiki” (Gates of the Arctic) meant or the all-year-round oil from the Novy Port deposit.

The oil loading terminal was opened on May 25th 2016.
