Technip to sign contract with Chinese LNG plant

Technip will sign a contract for engineering, supply and technical assistance for liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant in Fengzhen City, Inner Mongolia Province, China.

The plant will consist of a LNG technological line for 1.3 million Nm3 per day (0.35 million tons per year) and compressed natural gas stations for 0.3 million Nm3 per day.

The contract provides for:
- Basic engineering design;
- Basic engineering design and detailed technical design of LNG tank;
- Procurement of major equipment, such as the main cryogenic heat exchanger, compound refrigerant compressor, stripping gas compressor, tank LNG pumps, valves for cryogenic control and on-off switch.

The LNG plant will be based on the liquefaction process Air Products.

Technip’s operating center in Shanghai and Kuala Lumpur will execute the contract on launch of the plant, scheduled for the second half of 2016.
