Gazprom and Germany's Verbundnetz Gas discuss the prospects of cooperation.

Alexey Miller, the Chairman of the Board of "Gazprom", and Karsten Heuchert, the Chairman of the German company Verbundnetz Gas AG (VNG AG), discussed the development of cooperation, the report of the Russian company states.

The parties handed it to the current status of partnership between the companies.

"Our contract, signed more than 40 years ago, was the basis for the development of the new giant fields in Russia, creating the largest gas transmission system in the world and the system of transport and marketing in Germany. VNG AG was the first company to start the deliveries of Russian gas into Germany. We can say that Gazprom and Verbundnetz Gas are at the origin of the energy dialogue between Russia and Germany. Today, as never before, the issue of energy security for the European gas market is extremely important
