Novatek may sell 9.8% share in Severenergia to Gazpromneft

Novatek intends to sell a large asset for about 20.3 billion rubles soon. According to the company’s report, the deal can be approved on March 31st after the next meeting of the Board. The market participants think that the 9.8% share can be sold to Gazpromneft. If this happens, parity possession of the asset by the partners, which was broken in 2013 in the process of Rosneft's struggle for it, will be recovered.

It became known on Wednesday evening that the Novatek’s Board of Directors should approve the deal, connected with “assignment of assets”, which value exceeds 5% of the balance value of assets, on Monday. By the end of the previous year, the balance value of the company’s assets was 406 billion rubles, so the value of this property should be at least 20.3 billion rubles.
