Turkmenistan extracts 11 million tons of oil and 69 billion cubic metres of gas in 2012

In 2012 Turkmenistan extracted 11 million tons of oil and 69 billion cubic metres of gas, is said in the report about the working meeting of Turkmen government which took place on Monday.

Turkmen President, Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov specified, “The concrete goals of the country’s energy strategy are faster industrial development of new oil and gas deposits and complex modernization of oil and gas and chemical enterprises”. He emphasized, “The oil and gas industry provides for the successful fulfillment of the republic's social and economic program”.
