NLMK is about to launch a plant in Kaluga at a cost of $1.2 billion

Novolipetsk Iron-and-Steel works is about to put in operation a new plant NLMK-Kaluga of 1.5 million tons of steel and building rolled steel production a year in the middle of 2013.
The total volume of investments into the project will make up $1.2 billion. 80% of the funds have already been invested.
In 2013 NLMK expects a 20-25% growth of steel and metal products output in a segment of “NLMK-Sort”. NLMK-Kaluga is going to reach full capacity in 2015. They expect to produce 380 thousand tons of metal products at a new plant in 2013, 800 thousand tons in 2014 and 1 million tons in 2015.
