Turkey has been granted a 10.25% discount for gas from Gazprom
In 2014 Gazprom exported 27.4 bln cubic m of gas to Turkey. Gas is shipped by the Blue Stream pipeline constructed by the bottom of the Black Sea as well as by the Trans-Balkan gas pipeline via the Ukraine.
The Ministry of Energy of Turkey and Gazprom have agreed on the rate of discount for the Russian gas shipped to Turkey – 10.25%, the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey, T. Yildyz, said.
Previously Russia dropped the idea of realization of the South Stream, including due to the non-constructive position of the EU. In exchange it was decided to construct a gas pipeline to Turkey and found a gas hub for the European consumers on the border with Greece.
