The Ukraine and Russia have signed an additional agreement on nuclear fuel supply in 2015-2016

The Ukrainian state company “Energoatom” has signed an additional agreement on the nuclear fuel supply to the Ukraine’s nuclear power plants with the Russian company “TVEL”, director for safety of Energoatom, D. Biley, said.

“By the contract we have been shipped fuel until September and now we sign an additional agreement which will provide the execution of supplies for the operation of stations in 2015-2016”, he said.

D. Billey also said that in Jan-February 2015 Energoatom plans to operate 13 out of 15 energy blocks of the Ukraine’s nuclear power plants. Then their number will be shortened as the company needs to prepare for the next winter.
