SIBUR is nearing the completion of a Pre-FEED for Amur MCC.

Sibur, the largest petrochemical company in Russia and Eastern Europe, is nearing the completion of the Pre-FEED (pre-study phase) of the Amur chemical complex, CEO Dmitry Konov told reporters.

Previously Managing Director of SIBUR, the head of the Directorate of base polymers, Sergei Komyshan, told reporters that the company could start selecting licensors for the project, the final investment solution on which has not yet been adopted, in 2016.

"Once we have clear conditions for the supply of raw materials and its volumes, we can complete this step. In our opinion, it could happen later this year, and in 2016 we can proceed to the choice of the licensor for the Amur MCC and start phase of the project. It will last from a year to a year and a half, as the complex is a difficult task", - S. Komyshan told reporters.

According to him, at the end of this stage the company will make a decision on the project. Preliminarily this is 2017.
