"Gazprom" can reach the Persian Gulf if reaches an agreement with Iran on gas swap.
Russia and Iran may agree to swap gas supplies, according to the Russian government. "Gazprom" could supply the raw material to the north of Iran through Armenia or Azerbaijan, and in exchange receive gas from extraction sites in southern Iran. In the future, the swap would allow "Gazprom" to enter the market of Pakistan and India. But given the fact that Iran froze the construction of the first LNG terminal, it is probably the long term one.
