Statoil planS to drill test wells in Siberia in 2014

The Norwegian petroleum corporation Statoil plans to achieve a final agreement with Rosneft on the development of shelf fields before the end of the current year and drill 1-2 wells in Siberia in 2014 to estimate the potential of the region, the company’s Production Director, Tim Dodson reported in an interview to the agency Reuters.
“If everything works, the potential will be huge. I’m very optimistic concerning possibilities of the Russian shelf,” – Dodson stated.
