Longxing launches polymetallic GOK Kyzyl-Tashtygsky in Tuva

Longxing (owned by Chinese Zijin Mining Group) has officially launched the Kyzyl-Tashtygsky GOK at the polymetallic deposit of the same name in Tuva, the press centre of the republic’s government reports.

The investment in the project amounted to 16.8 billion rubles. With access of the full capacity, the GOK will annually give the budget Tuva up to 400 million rubles in the form of income taxes and fees. This is a first for the entire post-Soviet period large-scale manufacturing facility, built and launched in the region from scratch, exclusively on private investment, the report says.
