Gazprom still manages to borrow from Western banks

While the majority of Russian companies complain about the constant difficulty of finding any external funding, Gazprom, on the contrary, reports on its success. The monopoly claims that over the past twelve months it attracted about $12 billion, including from abroad, and in the autumn it will go to the Asian bond market. Experts in the banking sector recognize that Gazprom, not fallen under the financial sanctions, has "a special status", although a single loan market for the Russian companies still doesn’t exist. At the same time, they don’t consider Asia a promising direction, as credits in local banks are more expensive, particularly because of currency swaps.
