Ukraine is going to perform ecological monitoring of shale gas deposits in the west of the state

The monitoring of the ecological state at the Olesskoye deposits in the Lvov and Ivano-Frankovsk regions in the west of the Ukraine should be organized not later than 3 months after signing of PSA with Chevron, the project of the agreement sent by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Ukraine for coordination to the regional councils of Lvov and Ivano-Frankovsk states. One of the points of the documents presupposes execution of the tender based on the principles of transparency and competition for execution of independent ecological monitoring and presenting of its results to the public.
