Miller orders to go East

Today Gazprom’s CEO Alexei Miller signed order to start the practical implementation of the company’s investment projects for gas supplies to China. From today all relevant divisions and subsidiaries of the company have begun to realize the projects on the creation of gas producing, gas transportation and gas processing facilities for the organization of gas supplies to China. All these investment projects are related to the use of gas of the Yakutia gas production center.

In accordance with the approved comprehensive plan of activities, theconstruction of necessary facilities at the Chayandinskoye gas field, the first line of the Power of Siberia gas transportation system, gas and helium processing complex in the Amur region will begin in 2015.

The start of the sas production at Chayandinskoye field is scheduled for late 2018. A priority area of the Power of Siberia gas pipeline from Chayanda to Blagoveshchensk and the first gas processing facilities will be launched by that time. This will allow the company to start direct gas supplies to China in 2019 in accordance with the terms under the signed contract.
