"Gazpromneft" plans to increase its oil reserves by 72 million tons before the end of the year.

"Gazpromneft" plans to increase its oil reserves by 72 million tons by consolidating the Prirazlomnoye deposit before the end of the year, Vadim Yakovlev, the deputy head of "Gazpromneft" announced. According to him, currently the company consolidates stocks at 16.7% of their size – the portion belonging to "Gazpromneft".

Within two years the company will continue exploration of the Prirazlomnoye deposit stocks, that does not preclude their growth. Prirazlomnoe field will enter the shelf production – the extraction of 6.6 million tons – in 2021, ITAR-TASS informs.

Prior to 2018, Yakovlev explained, the supply of oil will go to Rotterdam, after 2018 the geography of deliveries may change, the transshipment through the storage terminal is planned in Murmansk.

"Gazpromneft" expects that the Prirazlomnoye development project may be granted the privileges, granted to offshore deposits, but this issue is still under discussion with the Government of the Russian Federation.
