Shale oil may become one of directions of production development in Tatarstan

The production of shale oil may become one of directions of the oil industry's development in Tatarstan, the Russian Prime Minister, Dmitry Medvedev stated at the meeting with representatives of innovative territorial clusters.

“I think, it’s absolutely normal that we start to engage in oils, which we didn’t use before, didn’t extract; this is a first time for everything. And even if we have other resources, why shouldn’t we to engage in shale oil, in which the whole world is engaged?” – Medvedev said.
