Since early February Naftogaz has reduces the import of Russian gas by 5 times.

Since early February "Naftogaz of Ukraine" has reduced the import of Russian gas under the contract with "Gazprom" by more than five times - down to 28 million cubic meters per day as of February 24th, Reuters reported, citing sources in the industry sector.

According to them, "Naftogaz" has reduced imports from 147 million cubic meters per day from February 1st this year, but did not report the reasons for the reduction. The representative of "Gazprom" declined to comment on the volume of imports, but stated that Russian gas supplies to Europe were not affected.
