Naftogas plans to receive the pre-paid Russian gas today

Naftogas states that it hopes to receive today the pre-paid volume of the Russian gas.

In conformity with the current agreements with Gazprom, Naftogas plans to sign contracts for the Russian gas supply in case of necessity in future, dependent on the level of consumption in the Ukraine and taking into account the offer in the European market. Until that time Naftogas will receive the Russian gas only for pumping to Europe, the company states.

Gazprom said that Naftogas has received the pre-paid volumes and there is no advance payment made by the Ukraine. So the supplies are terminated.

Naftogas said it would go on pumping the Russian gas to Europe in full conformity with the conditions of the contract.
