Eni wants to cooperate with South Stream again

A working meeting of Gazprom’s head, A. Miller, and CEO of Eni, C. Descalci, took place in Sochi.
The heads of the corporations discussed the main ways of cooperation and perspectives of further development of a mutually beneficial partnership in the energy sector. The cooperation in the framework of the South Stream project was also discussed.
The parties said that the foundation of new routes of hydrocarbons fuel supply will give an opportunity to provide the EU consumers with the necessary volumes of natural gas for a long-term perspective. Besides, the heads of the companies discussed the issue of the Russian gas supply to Italy.
