Gazprom Neft to provide a 1.6 billion RUR loan to National Oil Consortium

The Board of Directors of Gazprom Neft Plc. approved provision of a loan at the amount of 1.608 billion RUR to National Oil Consortium LLC, the oil company reports.

The Board approved the addendum #1 to the agreement about provision of a target loan by Gazprom Neft to National Oil Consortium of October 13, 2010 for 1.443 billion RUR and the addendum #2 for 165.122 million RUR.

At the beginning of October Lukoil proposed its partners in National Oil Consortium to redeem its share (20%) in the consortium. Next day the President of Rosneft, Igor Sechin claimed, the state company was interested in possible increase of its share in National Oil Consortium, though hadn’t obtained the corresponding proposal yet. Later the General Director of Gazprom Neft, Alexander Dyukov said, his company would probably increase its share, too.
