Japan is about to increase gas and oil purchases from Russia
Japan maps out to increase the purchases of oil and gas from Russia. It is due to the fact that Japan has decided to turn away from nuclear-power engineering completely, the Minister for Economics, Trade and Industry H.Ando asserted. Radio station “Eho Moskvy” reminds, the country has demanded the stopping of nuclear power plants after the accident at a nuclear power plant “Fukusima”. Japan faces a fresh problem – where to take the funds for a purchase of energy products. There has arisen budget deficit for the first time in 30 years. In order to reduce the cost of deliveries, Japanese companies would like to participate in a construction of oil pipelines from Siberia to Japan. There are also other joint projects too.
