Urupsky GOK to launch the most modern equipment in 2015

The head of Karachay-Cherkessia Rashid Temrezov has visited the Urupsky GOK (a part of UMMC), the press service of the regional government reports.

The head of the region was interested in various aspects of the enterprise’s activities, the near-term prospects and actual problems in the mining industry.

Urupsky GOK is engaged in mining and processing of copper-pyrite ore from the deposit of the same name. The main product is copper concentrate. Today, more than 750 people are employed at the company (90% are from the local population), 80 people more will be provided with jobs in the next year due to the development of the production.
