Kiev hopes to receive 5 billion cubic meters from Gazprom
The Prime Minister of the Ukraine, Arseny Yatsenyuk has sharply changed his stance on the threshold of the negotiations with Moscow on gas and has admitted that the Ukraine will have to buy another 5 billion cubic meters of gas from Gazprom this winter. Kiev hopes to "temporarily" buy gas from Russia at the price of $360 per thousand cubic meters, but Gazprom still insist on the repayment of debt in the amount of $5.3 billion first. Ukrainian experts believe that Kiev again hopes to use an intermediary and to buy the gas without raising the question about the current debt of Naftogaz to Gazprom.
