Gazprom to keep is monopoly on the export of natural gas

Gazprom will keep its monopoly on the export of natural gas, the Russian presidential aide, Andrei Belousov stated.
Against this background, the best option for independent gas producers remains selling their raw material to the monopolist at the price of export netback (delivery price minus duty and transportation costs). Rosneft is ready to accept this scenario, but only for a time, analysts believe.

According to Belousov, the issues, connected with provision of contractors in the East with gas, are strategically important and require negotiations in a "single window". "To avoid competition among Russian companies that will just worsen the conditions of the contracts. The work of our colleagues is organized in this way and we should also observe the parity,"- the presidential aide said.
