Naftogaz monopolizes reverse supplies

On June 25th – 26th, the delegation of Naftogaz Ukraine is going to hold the negotiations in Brussels for the attraction of the EU companies for the financing of the Ukrainian GTS upgrade and participation in its governance. The point is also discussed in the framework of the organization of gas supplies to the Ukrainian market from the EU via Slovakia. The Chairman of the Management Board of the holding, A. Kobolev claims that they will discuss in the negotiations the increase of gas supplies via the pipeline of Voyany – Uzhgorod and opening of the so-called ‘big reverse’ presupposing annual supplies of gas at a rate of 30 billion cubic m from Slovakia. Naftogaz hopes that reverse gas will be cheaper than those of Gazprom and it will be supplied stably.
