“One of the prospective directions of gas sector development is natural gas production from coal bed. Kazakhstan has significant potential of methane in coal deposits. It is among the world’s ten leading countries. According to preliminary assessment the gas resources of the coal bed in the republic make up from 500 billion to 2 trillion cubic meters,” he said.
