Within the coming 5 years, Norilsk Nickel will prolong all prior projects in Zapolyarye, the CEO of the Zapolyarye subsidiary of the company A. Ryumin says. In closet time, they are going to modernize the Talnakhsky concentrating plant, that has not been upgraded since 2000. Reconstruction of the plant will be performed within 2 stages, replacement of all mechanisms and introduction of a new concentration technology. As a result, annual capacity will increased from 7.6 million tons to 10 million tons. They are also going to build a new tailing dump. The Taimyr mine will also be modernized.
