Turkmenistan discloses information on the volume of hydrocarbon reserves.

Today potential hydrocarbon resources of Turkmenistan are 71.2 billion tons of oil equivalent, of which 53 billion tons are in the land, and 18.2 billion tons - in marine areas, TREND informs referring to the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of Turkmenistan Muhammetnur Halylov.

According to the department, more than 70% of the potential resources of Turkmenistan accounts for natural gas. The country ranks fourth in the world among largest proven gas reserves.
