Sechin asks Medvedev to connect Rosneft’s project to Gazprom’s gas-transportation system on Sakhalin

Rosneft’s head Igor Sechin has asked Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev to help with the solution of the connection of the company’s projects to the transportation system of Sakhalin- 2 to port Eletskii, where an LNG plant will be built, stated that the company had got refusals as from Gazprom, as from Shell.

"I’d like to appeal once again with request to Gazprom and to you, Dmitry Anatolyevich, on issue of connection to the gas-transportation system of Sakhalin-2. It is necessary to pump gas to the port Eletskii, where the Far Eastern LNG plant of Rosneft will be built. To date, we had received refusals as from Gazprom, as from the operator of the project – Shell," - Sechin said at a meeting of the governmental commission on the socio-economic development of the Far East.
