In Q1 of 2014, EP KMG increase oil production by 1%

In the first quarter of 2014, Exploration Production KazMunaiGaz extracted 3048 thousand tons of oil (250 barrels per day) that is by 45 thousand tons or by 1% more than in the same period of 2013. According to the company, this rate includes the share of EP KMG in the production of Kazgermunai (KGM), Karazhanbasmunai (CCEL) and PetroKazakhstan Inc (PKI).

According to the company, in January-March of the current year Ozenmunaigaz (OMG) produced 1 301 thousand tons (106 thousand barrels per day) that is by 5% more than in the same period of 2013; Embamunaigaz (EMG) produced 684 thousand tons (56 thousand barrels per day) that is by 1% less than in the same period of 2013. As a result, in the first three months, the total volume of the production of OMG and EMG was 1 985 thousand tons (162 thousand barrels per day) that is by 3% more than in the same period of 2013 and corresponds to the production plan. In the first quarter of 2014, the share of EP KMG in the production of CCEL, KGM and PKI made up 1 063 thousand tons (88 thousand barrels per day) that is by 1% less than in the same period of 2013.
