The developers overestimate the oil reserves in South Kirinsk field.

The oil reserves within the South Kirinsk field on the Sakhalin shelf can be times less than was previously anticipated: not hundreds, but tens of millions of tons.

"The volume of oil in the South Kirinsk field, according to the geologists, can be not hundreds of millions of tons, but tens of millions of tons", - a source close to the State Commission on Reserves (SRC) stated.
