Analyst: Serious gas crisis threatens the Ukraine

The reverse supplies of European gas are not enough for the country’s needs, a specialist is certain

This year, the Ukraine shouldn’t count on large volumes of reverse gas supplies from the EU states, because our country isn’t included into European gas balance, the independent expert Valentin Zemlyansky said.

“Therefore, the current contracts don’t provide for an increase in purchase of gas, which could be delivered to the Ukraine. The experience of 2013 shows that Kiev can receive excess gas, which will appear on the European market and may be about 2-3 billion cubic meters,” – Zemlyansky said.
