Severstal increases investments in Vorkutaugol by over a quarter

The total investments of Vorkutaugol, one of the largest coal mining companies in Russia, a member of Severstal, will increase by 26% as compared with 2015 and amount to about 6.7 billion rubles. This was reported by the press centre of Severstal in Vorkuta.

According to the source, most of the funds, 3.4 billion rubles, will be spent for mining and capital works and construction of new ventilation shafts. 2.5 billion more will be spent on the maintenance of the production: equipment of longwall faces, modernization of tunnel works, upgrade and replacement of intramine and conveyor transport, replacement of fixed assets.
