Belon has launched 2 sections at “Chertinskaya-Koksovaya” and “Kostromovskaya” mines

Their reserves make up more than 2 mln tons of coal.

Belon OJSC has put into operation sections at 2 mines – the “Chertinskaya-Koksovaya” and “Kostromovskaya”. The expected company’s production in 2013 is 3.89 mln tons of coal.

The reserves of the section #561, prepared for development at the “Chertinskaya-Koksovaya” mine by the coal layer #5, make up about 1.35 mln tons of coal. This is the largest section at this enterprise for the past few years. The length of the section is 203 m, capacity – within 2 m. Taking into account the monthly face output (on average 65-70 thousand tons), it is planned to complete the workout of the section in November 2014.

In perspective it is planned to prepare another giant section #560 with the reserves of about 1.5 mln tons of coal. The miners will start its workout not earlier than in 2015.

Simultaneously with the coal extraction from section #561, the extraction from the section #339 is held at the “Chertinskaya-Koksovaya” mine. In total in 2013 it is planned to produce about 1 mln 280 thousand tons of coal at this mine.

The section #19-06 has been put into operation at the “Kostromovskaya” mine with the reserves of 770 thousand tons of coal, length –230 m, layer capacity –1.9 m. Taking into account the average monthly face output of 180 thousand tons, the section is planned to be worked out in June 2013.

The reserves of the sections #19-20 and 19-21 of the “Kostromovskaya” mine make up about 700 thousand tons of coal. These sections are the last in the western part of the mine field. The section #19-20 will be worked out in 2013, #19-21 – will be started in late 2013. In 2014 the production will start at the eastern part of the mine field of the “Kostromovskaya” mine where about 16 mln tons of coal is focused.

In total in 2013 the miners of the Kostromovskaya mine plan to produce 1 mln 700 thousand tons of coal.
