SUEK opened a representative office in Japan

The representative office of the Siberian coal energy company (OAO “SUEK”) in Japan has started  work. Y.Mizuma heads it up. He has  experience in coal industry. He worked with the company BMA (BHP Billiton and Mitsubishi alliance), the world leader in coking coal production.

New possibilities for  sales are opened with the development of the Vaninsky bulk terminal. We are interested to work with consumers from Japan,” the chief financial officer of OAO “SUEK” I.Gribanovsky asserted.

At present, the Vaninsky bulk terminal has almost reached 12 million tons of coal per year transshipment. In February 2010, OAO “SUEK” signed an agreement with Tenova TAKRAF GmbH on the supply of extra equipment for the Vaninsky bulk terminal.  It will allow the increase in the capacity of the terminal together with the increase of the throughput capacity of the Far East Rail road.
