The victory of "Rosneft" in the Kara Sea.

The Petroleum Corporation "Rosneft" having drilled only one exploration well on the Arctic shelf in the Kara Sea 250 kilometers from the mainland, discovered a large deposit of oil and gas. It rightfully the received name "Pobeda" (Victory – ed.). The information about it was announced at the "round table", which took place in the press center of the MIA "Russia today".

Artur Chilingarov, the Russian Arctic explorer, who recently became a part of the Board of Directors of "Rosneft" , stated that "an important step in the practical development of hydrocarbon reserves of the Russian Arctic shelf had been made, and the exploratory drilling in the Kara Sea was one of the major events in the global oil and gas industry recently".
