Officials propose to limit the discount Gazprom can give to large consumers

Gazprom can obtain the right to reduce the price of Russian gas lower than the minimum set by FTS, though not that much as it had been previously supposed, the head of the service Sergei Novikov said yesterday. He emphasized, “the initial numbers made up 30%, now 20% are discussed and even 5-10% are supposed”. “The price of this macroeconomic result (giving Gazprom a right for discount) is unknown and we can lose independent producers from the point of gas delivery to the consumers”, Novikov explained.
