Rosneft obtains approval of Germany on purchase of Total’s share in refinery in Germany

Rosneft, the largest state-owned oil company in Russia, has received the consent of the German antimonopoly authorities for its request to purchase the 16.7% stake of French Total in refinery PCK Raffinerie GmbH Schwedt, located in the German town of Schwedt, representative of the Department reported to the Deutsche Welle on Friday.

"The corresponding application was received on July 17th, we considered it for a month and made the decision on August 17th," - he said.

The transaction amount is estimated at $300 million.
