Coal extraction in the Ukraine keeps falling – now by 52% in annual terms

​Coal extraction in the Ukraine fell by 52.2% in annual terms in H1 2015 (by 21 mln 267.5 thousand tons) to 19 mln 471.7 thousand tons.

In June 2015 coal extraction fell by 45.6% (by 2 mln 875.2 thousand tons) to 3 mln 423.3 thousand tons.

Coking coal extraction fell by 63.9% in H1 2015 (by 7 mln 192.4 thousand tons) to 4 mln 60.1 thousand tons, in June – by 57.1% (by 965.5 thousand tons) to 724.5 thousand tons.

Thermal coal production fell in H1 2015 by 47.7% (by 14 mln 75.1 thousand tons) to 15 mln 411.6 thousand tons, in June 2015 – by 41.4% (by 1 mln 909.7 thousand tons) to 2 mln 698.8 thousand tons.

Coal consumption in the Ukraine fell in H1 2015 by 25.7% (by 4 mln 756.5 thousand tons) to 13 mln 787.2 thousand tons, in June – by 33.1% by 1 mln 9.7 thousand tons) to 2 mln 40.3 thousand tons.
