Medvedev: gas supplies to China not to depreciate cooperation with Europe

​The plans of Russia on the gas supply to China don’t depreciate its cooperation with Europe, the PM of Russia, D. Medvedev, said.

“The gas market of Europe is very important for Russia, it is of key importance for us. We have been trading with Europe for decades and havent’ violated our obligations and we would like to go on shipping gas at large volumes to Europe”, Medvedev said.

“It doesn’t mean that we will not ship gas to other places. This is not the change of focus, this is just another direction of cooperation. The fact of gas shipment to China doesn’t depreciate our cooperation with Europe”, he said.
